TTP has an immediate need for a Technology Architect for our Government client – details below.
Length of contract: 6 months to start with renewal
Hybrid -3 days in the office – Toronto
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the project team and subject matter experts; creates and maintains all models/artefacts/diagrams as it relates to establishing a shared use solution.
- Analyzes and approve various design and implementation approaches with respect to different interface touch points. Also works with various technical teams while building interface touch points with Siebel.
- Evaluate different technology options and makes informed decisions based on cost, compatibility, and industry best practices; recommends the most suitable technologies that Update, develop and validates all required business architecture and solution/technical architecture models/artefacts, documents and materials (according to industry best practices, GO-ITS standards and OPS EA guidelines using the appropriate version)
- Collaborate with cluster staff, project teams, clients and other OPS partners / service Defines the structure and relationship among technical solutions, including the identification of re-usable components, quality level metrics, the organization and layering of software, and the determination of interfaces.
- Lead privacy impact assessment (PIA) and threat risk assessment (TRA) activities in collaboration with cluster staff, technical team members and other partners as required; including responding to and/or actioning any risk recommendations or mitigations that may follow.
- Arrange and facilitate Enterprise Architecture (EA) meetings with cluster staff, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders as required.
Experience and Skill Set.
- Hands on experience developing all required business architecture artefacts
- Hands on experience developing all required application architecture artefacts
- Hands on experience leading all aspects of solution design, including security and privacy
- Experience architecting enterprise scale COTS / SaaS solutions such as Oracle Siebel
- Knowledge and experience with a wide range of methods, techniques and tools for business architecture such as, but not limited to: business functional modeling, service lifecycle modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping, value chain analysis, and other related disciplines
- Experience in completing business architectures in government settings or similar complex, multi-project/multi-client organizations
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Knowledge and experience of information technology providing the ability to integrate and identify IT-enabled opportunities to solve business pressures/needs
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in modeling solution requirements, design and components for enterprise scale COTS solutions, Oracle Siebel preferred
- Knowledge of Zachman Framework including business / information / application / technology / security architectures
Must have skills:
- 10+ years in the role of a Technology Architect
- 10+ years of experience leading multi-tier application infrastructure design, documentation and configuration for medium or large corporate implementations
- Hands on experience developing all required business architecture artefacts
- Experience leading and facilitating workshops to gather business and application information, including validation and review sessions.
- Identifying issues and risks to be managed or addressed to facilitate mitigation.
- Hands on experience developing all required application architecture artefacts.
- Experience architecting enterprise scale COTS / SaaS solutions such as Oracle Siebel
- Experience leading project teams through the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process, Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) process and other technical or security assessment processes as required
- Experience with agile methodology
- Experience reporting progress on deliverables to team, project leads and management, including proactively raising risks/issues with mitigation
